The results are in for the Waste Management Think Green Recycling Challenge. The last two months of the contest had neighborhoods shifting around in the rankings, including the Friday North route (Wallingford) which slipped to second place as of the end of February. As you can see by the final results, the competition was intense. The results from the Think Green Recycling Challenge for February are in, and Wallingford's Friday North route slipped into second place. Our diversion rate lagged behind that of Friday South, represented by Rainier Beach Community Club, by a mere .06% . It's crunch time for ten neighborhoods competing in the Think Green Recycling Challenge. The contest ends with waste collection on Friday, March 30, your last chance to get the heavy stuff into your recycling and food waste carts and go skimpy (but of course) on garbage. Results for the first four months of the Think Green Recycling Challenge have been released. The Friday North route - which includes Wallingford and part of the Green Lake neighborhood - is in first place, but not by much.
