DOUG. tipped us off to an event going on until 8 pm tonight at Gas Works Park. From Seattle Magazine: If passing through Gas Works Park isn’t part of your normal Wednesday routine, you may want to make it so this Wednesday, 9/9. Master Kite Flyer Seth Abramson will be flying 121 elegant white kites over the park. More art installation than childhood whim, Abramson and his piece of performance art will be sure to leave you breathless.

If you or yours are one of the many members of the Seattle Youth Soccer Association (SYSA), you may want to check your schedule. The city has withdrawn Wallingford Field as a site for soccer practice and games for the Fall season, apparently with very little notice to the organizers and players.
