Here's a recap of things happening in our neighborhood schools: B.F. Day is holding a clothing drive What? A clothing drive.  Clear out your closets of unwanted clothing of all ages, coats, linens, towels, shoes, scarves, handbags, etc. Who? Northwest Center, the non-profit organization dedicated to helping adults and children with disabilities, and B.F. B.F. Day Principal McCloskey leaving

After 14 years, B.F. Day Elementary Principal Susan McCloskey will retire from her post at the end of the school year, though she hints that she may come back as a substitute for Special Ed. from time to time. The principal position was posted to the public and the District is currently reviewing resumes. At the end of March, the B.F. Zumba for JSIS Teachers

Tomorrow, (Saturday March 10), at 3:00pm, head on over to the John Stanford International School gym (4057 5th Avenue NE) for a free 90 minute Zumba Community Dance Party to benefit the school's professional development program. Instructors from Wallingford's Fresh Fitness and Dance will teach the basics of Zumba, a fun, latin-inspired dance-fitness class. B.F. Day Swellegant and Playground Meeting #3

There are two upcoming events for B.F. Day Elementary next week: Swellegant The good folks at B.F. Day’s PTSA are throwing the school’s biggest fundraiser of the year, Swellegant, next Saturday night, March 10, at Fremont Arts Abbey (4272 Fremont Avenue North), from 7:00 pm to 11:00 pm.  Tickets are $45 in advance, $60 at the door.
