Seattle Schools: Kindergarten rates going up

Seattle Schools has announced its "proposed" fee of $2,720 for full-day Kindergarten during the 2012-13 school year. These fees cover the costs for the non-funded portion of a full day of Kindergarten, half of which is covered by the state. Payment can be made in 10 monthly installments of $272 per month, beginning September 1. Hamilton Science Fair rescheduled for next Tuesday

Mark your calendars, folks, because the awesomely-cool annual Science Night at Hamilton International Middle School (1610 N. 41st. Seattle Schools seeks waiver for two snow days

Seattle Schools is asking the Office of Superintendent of Public Education (OSPI) for a waiver for the January 19 and 20 snow days, when Gov. Chris Gregoire declared Washington in a State of Emergency. If approved, Seattle Schools would not have to make up the two days at the end of the school year.
