Last month, we told you that Lowell Elementary's Accelerated Progress Program (APP) was moving to Lincoln in the fall, sharing space with McDonald Elementary. McDonald Elementary meets fundraising goal

McDonald Elementary announced that, through direct appeal to parents, they met their fundraising goal of $100,000 to hire full-time language immersion assistants for the 2011-12 school year. The McDonald Elementary PTA followed the John Stanford International School direct appeal fundraising model since the District does not provide funding for an extra teacher for each of the language immersion classrooms. The Stranger reported today that Lowell Elementary is contemplating moving its 4th and 5th grade APP students to the Lincoln High School site here in Wallingford for the 2011-12 school year.
