Sorry for grim news on a Friday morning, but a tipster pointed us towards this story on King 5: a body was found floating near the Fremont Bridge yesterday afternoon. King 5 reports that "the SPD Harbor Patrol recovered the body, said to be of a man in his 30s who had been in the water "a considerable amount of time" as the remains were apparently in the 'advanced stages of decay.'"

A quick follow-up to the story Chris broke earlier this week about the live artillery shell someone left at the transfer station (aka dump) down on 34th St. The Seattle Police Department web site has this beautiful photo of the offending piece of artillery for you to enjoy: Lovely, ain't it?
