Two short stories by Polish-Canadian Yiddish writer Chava Rosenfarb will be performed by Tales of the Alchemysts Theatre, weaving together music, song, and dance. Evocative and unsettling, the stories explore the intricacies of memory, guilt, and the delicate balancing act of moving through pain to achieve stability.
Chava Rosenfarb was a survivor of the Lodz ghetto, as well as Auschwitz and Bergen-Belsen concentration camps. Her stories have been translated into English by her daughter, Goldie Morgentaler.…

On Saturday, March 1st, friends and neighbors of a giant redwood tree (Sequoiadendron giganteum) in the 5800 block of Woodlawn Avenue N gathered to save it from being cut down to make way for the construction of a very large single-family home on the lot. Neighborcare Health is expanding dental care at 45th Street Clinic
Only 18% of Medicaid users over age 21 in King County had a dental check-up in 2022. (Source: Arcora Foundation). Unmet dental health needs can lead to pain, reduced self-esteem, and risk of potentially life-threatening health conditions. Though the need is high, access to dental health remains out of reach for many in our community.
