I’ve always been a huge fan of street art, both because art that isn’t framed in the context of a gallery or museum feels more “real” and because unexpected beauty is the best kind. That’s why it was such a giggle to find these paintings nailed to telephone polls in South Wallingford, in the 37th and Bagley area.
Anyone know who the artist is?
(Michelle took the first two photos. I missed the third painting entirely until I saw this shot by mcoughlin in the Wallingford Flickr group)

Wallingford architect Michelle Quesada has lived in Wallingford for over twenty years. 'Sustainable practices has always been a part of my practice," she says. "It goes beyond picking fabulous green products: sustainable architecture considers lifestyle choices and the wake we leave as we move through design and construction.”

There’s another one out there somewhere, too, which I saw only in the dark one night and couldn’t photograph. Would love to know more about this artist!
