Mt. St. Helens Vietnam Band are always looking for creative ways to promote themselves—weird videos, handmade CD cozies, and now they’ve partnered with Molly Moons and created their own flavor of ice cream. Mt. St. Helens Vietnam Band Ice Cream is “coconut ice cream with chocolate chunks and huckleberry sauce.” It sounds awesome.
They’ll be guest-scoopers at Molly Moon’s in Wallingford on Thursday, March 5th at 6 pm. Their CD release show is at Neumo’s the following night with Say Hi and Visqueen.
Coconut ice cream with chocolate chunks and huckleberry sauce? Mt. St. Helen’s Vietnam Band? We’re so confused. We even gave a listen to the band, in all their indie pop wonderfulness, on their MySpace page, and we’re still confused.
Maybe some ice cream will help.

I gave a listen, too. Confused, also. They seem to be playing all over the country, though. Sounds like Presidents USA meets Mothers of Invention…….
What flavor would Wallyhood ice cream be?
Funny you should ask, john. The answer is forthcoming. Stay tuned.
