Kiddie Parade, Dorpat-style

Jordan Jordan July 21, 2009 3 Comments

A bit belated, but Nancy just sent us a link to Paul Dorpat’s fun blog post on this year’s Wallingford Kiddie Parade that includes this great picture of the parade c. 1950 (that he in turn got from Stan Stapp of the Outlook):

There are a bunch of other fun pictures in his post, both historical and from this year’s parade. We won’t steal his thunder by repeating any of it, but it’s worth the read.

Can anyone identify the block in this picture?

Bartell’s is a good clue, have they ever moved?

It looks like Bartells is in the building that Tweedy and Pop used to be in.
