Need an excuse to walk to Fremont Saturday morning? The Poetess of Greenlake is hosting a guerrilla poetry event at the Lenin Statue at 10 am Saturday.
Twenty authors from the Lenin Commemorative Poems contest will read their Lenin poems, and the poems will be publicly “poured” over Lenin himself. Contest winner Rebecca Elliot will see her five-line poem “This Is Not V.I. Lenin” memorialized in bronze near the statue, hopefully this fall. Come, listen, enjoy!
