Talk o’ the Town (Wallytown at least!)

Have you ever noticed that “Forums” button near the top of the Wallyhood page?   Click it!  See what your neighbors are saying, start your own conversation, ask for recommendations — heck, you can even find someone on the Forum who might be willing to lend you a gardening tool.

Here are some highlights from current Forums discussions:

  • A Wallyhood reader suffered the loss of a Burley kids bike trailer last weekend.  Check out the description, and let ’em know if you spot it!
  • The Panhandling councilmen thread looks like it’s about to heat up.  Weigh in!  It may be your ONLY vote!
  • Looking for a housesitter?  Petsitter? Check out who your neighbors recommend, recommend someone you’ve enjoyed doing business with, or warn us off anyone who shouldn’t be trusted.
  • Need some suggestions on tree trimming, or plumbing?
  • One of my favorite threads, Support Clean Pole Wallingford, has been quiet for a while.  What’s going on?  I bet somebody’s been tearing down posters & someone else has been re-posting them, yeah?
  • Keep an eye on the Freebie threads.  It’s like a box o’ chocolates.  You never know what you’re gonna get (for free!).

Outside of the Forums, you’ve been keeping things lively with Comments.  I’ll point you to a few of the most active Comments sections:

Let’s keep talkin’ folks.  See you on the Forums!

Chris Witwer

Chris S. Witwer likes to call herself Wallyhood’s “Lower Wallingford Correspondent.” Chris is a former Texan (is there any such thing?) who came to Seattle in 2005 for three reasons: weather, scenery, and coffee culture. It has taken her four years to begin to understand Seattle humor, but she’s getting there. Chris is a bureaucrat by day, and caffeine-fueled blogger when she’s not reading novels or pretending to write one. She lives with her partner, Laura, and two cats — Dolce and Molly, and uses the internet to make fun of stuff on her personal blog, http://felsputzer.wordpress.com.
