Waiting for the Geeks

Lower Wallingford’s Institute for Systems Biology took over Fremont’s Waiting for the Interurban Tuesday, hanging inflatable DNA strands and giving the would-be passengers some light reading to pass the time:  copies of a recently published Science journal article about ISB’s work sequencing the genome of a family of four.  Read about it here.

Or better yet — go see ISB founder Leroy Hood present “Genomics 101”  at Town Hall Wednesday evening, 5/5 .  Tickets are $5 through Brown Paper Tickets.  Hood will summarize the Human Genome Project, tie that into current research, and present his vision for the future of science and health care technology.

Full disclosure: this post was authored by an ISB staffer.

I’m in giggles over the cute geekiness! Where the heck did they get DNA balloons though? Too fun!
