Farmer’s Market Reminder

It’s almost humpday!  Which means it’s time again for the Wallingford Farmers Market in the Wallingford Center parking lot, Wednesday 3 – 7 p.m.

Hardworking local farmers and craftsmen bring a colorful assortment of fresh seasonal fruits, veggies, meats, breads, and all sorts of other delicious edibles.  Last week, one vendor told me that the cherries are just about done for the year, so be sure to snap some up if you spot them.  Afterwards, step inside Wallingford Center where participating retailers offer a 10% discount on purchases during market hours.

This week’s cooking demonstration will feature Essential Baking Company founder, Chef George DePasquale.  What’ll he be cooking?  I’m betting on big, gorgeous, earthy artisan breads.  If I’m right, we’ll smell it blocks away!

Oh, man, I’m in trouble if the wind carries that lovely, intoxicating aroma southward! Thanks, Chris!
