Weekend Roundup

The SeaFair parades have come and gone, somebody probably won the hydro races, and the last zombie has slunk away from the Fremont Outdoor Movies screen.  Bumbershoot is fast approaching. Looks like summer 2010 will soon be an all too brief memory.

There are, however, still some things on tap for this upcoming “summer” weekend (Fix it, Cliff Mass! Help!):

  • City Cellars Wine Tasting 5-7pm Friday.  $3-5 per flight.   Website says they’ll be uncorking some $15 Washington cabernets.
  • T.G.I.F. Bomb night at Kate’s Pub.  $5 Car bombs, Jager bombs & Touchdowns — starts at 9pm Friday.  It’s not just drinking, it’s explosives eradication!
  • Read a Comic in Public Day.  Saturday.  Seriously.  Take a pic of yourself & upload your fan photo to the Wallyhood Facebook page.  Doing so is a sure-fire way to let everyone know just how awesomely dorkified you are.
  • 1st Annual Fremont Toga Party. Not yoga, toga!  Starts 9pm Saturday, at all bars in Fremont.  Woot!  More info here.
  • Ballard Locks Concert Series – this is a 2-fer.   The Northwest Fuchsia Society’s judged fuchsia show runs 9am – 4pm Saturday, and the Lynnwood Community Band plays from 2-3:30.  Free!
  • Gracefeast at Grace Lutheran Church.  Sunday at noon. Read more here.
