Magic and Love in the Air this Weekend

I guess summer is officially over.  We should just come right out and admit it.  But that doesn’t mean we’re all huddled up at home ready for winter hibernation.  No, sir.  There’s plenty to do this weekend.  Here’s a sampling:

  • Beth Fleenor (reeds) and Denney Goodhew (piano/percussion) give the weekend a jump start Thursday night as part of the Wayward Music Series at the Good Shepherd Center.  8pm Thursday.  Free.  More info here.
  • Lullaby Moon.  7pm Friday at Gasworks Park.  Magical, mystical, phantasmagorical live theater production in our own “backyard.”  Bring the kids and something to nibble on!  (And for you literal folks, please do not nibble on the children!)
  • Harvest Breakfast.  Saturday 9am-noon at the Wallingford Community Center in the lower level of the Good Shepherd Center.  $5 for adults, half that for pint-sized peoples.  Eggs, muffins, juice, neighbors!
  • Seattle Tilth’s Harvest Fair.  Free.  Saturday 10am-5pm at Meridian Park, behind the Good Shepherd Center.  Celebrate urban agriculture and sustainable local farming with this fun little festival.  Shop, mingle with your neighbors, take a workshop… there will be live chickens, goats, and bees on hand, too.
  • Grace Feast.  Sunday at noon at Gift of Grace Lutheran Church. 2102 N. 40th St.  Break bread with your neighbors!

Update:  Harvest Breakfast start time was corrected.  Breakfast starts at 9am.

    Thanks Chris,
Justin and I took Alexis tonight and it was fabulously surreal. Thanks for your post. We also plan to head to the Harvest Fair tomorrow!
