4th of July fireworks will go on

One Reel announced that they have secured 80% of the required funding to produce the Family 4th at Lake Union, and as such, the show will go on this year.  Businesses such as Allstate Insurance, Adobe, Smith Brothers Farms, Underdog Sports, along with many private contributors, added to the donations by Microsoft and Starbucks totaling $400,000.  One Reel is still trying to secure the remaining $100,000, but has every intention to move forward.

“We had planned to secure our budgetary goal by March 1 in order to refocus our resources from fundraising to event production,” stated One Reel Executive Director, Jon Stone. “Although we continue to fundraise today, our commitment to producing this event, and our confidence in our community to support it, has never wavered. Without a doubt, we will deliver the world-class 4th of July celebration that our community expects.”
