Cheers to Wallingford

On Thursday April 21,  the Wallingford Chamber of Commerce is holding its first annual “Cheers to Wallingford” Business Expo. This year “Cheers to Wallingford” will be held at Wine World from 4-7pm.

The chamber is currently seeking vendors.  Businesses can have a booth for just $50, and Wallingford chamber members get a $25 discount. If a vendor is a member of the chamber they can come for free if they plan to donate food. If the vendor is not a member but would like to donate food, then they can attend for $25, half the normal price for non-members.   Not bad.

For individual attendees (not businesses), the event is free.  Tickets can be purchased to sample a variety of foods & drink.  There will also be presentations, seminars, and live entertainment.  And of course, a chance to meet vendors catering to Wallingford.

Oom Yung Doe’s Asst Head Instructor, Greg Martin, who also happens to be the incoming Vice President of the Wallingford Chamber of Commerce writes:

The Wallingford Chamber of Commerce has taken a very active role in the Wallingford community and surrounding neighborhoods for the past several years. Some of the events that the Chamber has been involved in are the farmer’s market, the art walk, sea-fair parade and street fair, street clean-up, various fundraisers, and the family fourth to name a few.

The “Cheers to Wallingford” business expo is another example of the Wallingford Chamber of Commerce providing opportunities for community building that simultaneously promotes local businesses.
