Huh? There’s a parade in Wallingford tonight?

The answer to the headline is “No!” although you wouldn’t know it if you followed King County Metro on Twitter.  Not once, but twice in the past 24 hours, King County Metro Tweeted the following, and it’s been re-tweeted by dozens of people:

There is a parade this evening, but it’s in Greenwood, so there will be no road closures in Wallingford; but please check your normal bus routes to see if they’re affected. It looks like only Route #5 (Local and Express) is affected, starting at 4pm., and even so, the only re-routes are up in Greenwood.

    I stopped following @kcmetrobus. Completely unreliable, and when there *is* something going on, they usually aren’t around to report on it.
