Sugar On Top: new salon now open

The iconic Alterations and Reweaving Center sign. The building now houses a new salon called Sugar on Top

A new salon has moved into the old Alterations and Reweaving space on 45th at Woodlawn (1601 N. 45th St.).

Sugar On Top is holding a pre-opening special: $10 off any service. For now, they accept cash and checks only. The salon’s Grand Opening will be on Saturday, September 10.

Walk-ins are welcome or you can call for an appointment: (206) 427-9377.

    Great name – although “Alterations Reweaving Center” would also be an intriguing name for a hair salon.

    I am pissed… we ar elosing other businesses and we get hair salons.. how abou ta sweater shop?

    A Tiny Target on 45th maybe? I just saw somewhere else online that they are opening one in Downtown Seattle near Ross.

    I LOVE this salon. It’s cute and bright and the last time I got my hair cut there (about a week ago), there were customers ahead of and after me; so it was busy that day! Very satisfied with my haircut; I will definitely go back.
