The buzz on Eater and Seattle Met today is that Pinky’s Kitchen, a new barbecue/comfort food trailer, will open this Friday, at 210 NE 45th St., across from the Rancho Bravo truck on the old Winchell’s lot. Take a look at the menu on the right to see their offerings: a Boneless Rib Sandwich, sliders, and sides like mac ‘n cheese and coleslaw. Yes, please!

Seattle Met tells us that the food truck is a joint venture between Rancho Bravo’s Freddy Rivas and Andrew Bray, former owner of Bizarro Italian Cafe. There was a soft opening last night and so far, the comments on their Facebook page have been pretty favorable. If anyone went last night, tell us what you think!

The truck will open on Friday, 11/11 at 11:00am.

We went last night and the sliders were phenomenal. A nice alternative to Rancho Bravo and cheaper than the food trucks from the Uptown Espresso parking lot. Viva la BBQ!!!

I have been looking for shoestring onions for YEARS! Menu looks great, I’ll be there tomorrow.

Isn’t that a gas station? Not really where I want to go to eat.
As I recall, a few years ago a food truck was at that spot for a short time then left. I assumed at the time it was partly people’s reluctance to eat next to gas pumps. We’ll see how this goes. The food sounds good.

I went! The food was great, and they had a large tent for seating (2 tables) and a large tent for waiting. I didn’t really think about how close I was to the gas station. I was wondering what they were up to–I would see people working on the truck, and though maybe Rancho Bravo was upgrading again. I’m glad there are more interesting food places in Eastern Wallingford!

I went with my two children the other night, and they BOTH gave it a big thumbs up, which is rare. I thought the food was delicious. The brisket was tender, the bread soft yet sturdy, the bbq sauces were wonderful. I cannot wait to go back and be a paying customer! Good luck Pinky’s…

went tonight. food was great. super nice service. you could tell it’s quality stuff and a decent attempt at good, decent priced food. the vegeterian option (a sloppy faro) was a hit. the fried onions were top notch and the mac and cheese were better than expected.

it’s a great, quick option in the neighborhood. super glad they’re here.

I went tonight, really nice people, they want to do a good job. Had the pulled pork slider, very good and generous with the pork. Had those shoestring french fries I wanted, they were great. Pretty chilly sitting outside tonight. The mac and cheese was great. People next to me had the brisket, they said it was excellent. Glad they are here.
