Christmas Day eats in Wallingford

By request, here’s the lowdown on Wallingford restaurants open tomorrow (Christmas Day):

Chutney’s Bistro (11AM-8:30PM)
Murphy’s Pub (12PM-2AM) kitchen open until 7 or 8
May (11:30AM-10PM)
The Iron Bull (3PM-9PM)
Bamboo Village (10:30AM-9PM)
Changes (6PM-2AM)
Moon Temple (4PM-10PM, bar closes at 2AM**)

Restaurants not open: Julia’s (the one on Broadway on Cap. Hill will be open), Dick’s, Ivar’s Salmon House, The Rusty Pelican, Irwin’s, Gypsy Java, Essential Baking Company, La Casa Azul, Blue Star, Olympia Pizza and Pasta, Issian, Elysian Brewing Company, Djan’s, Rancho Bravo Tacos, Pudge Bros., Jhanjay Vegetarian Thai, Cantinetta, Eva Restaurant

**Moon Temple’s hours are from last year. I haven’t been able to reach them, so you may want to give them a call: 206-633-4280.

    Their site says Saturday, Sunday, 5-10 (they are closed on weekend afternoons). Love that place, the family.

    Kates Pub will be open on Christmas Eve and on Christmas day. Per FB wall – “Just a reminder, Kate’s is open Xmas eve and Xmas day( with Kati and Roni working!!!).”

    Open Christmas and you can meet the real Kate – what a gift. Opens at 4PM.

    I can give you a brief rundown on the restaurants I saw open today during my morning run:

    Blue Star
    Jhanjay
    Satay (was closed when I ran past but their sign did not say closed 12/26)
    La Casa Azul
    Julia’s
    Chutneys
    Chile Pepper

    Fuel
    Starbucks
    Diva Espresso

    Oh, I saw people in the library this morning, and Archie McPhee and QFC are open too!
