Update 9:49 pm: Eunice wrote back to tell us that the boat (a yacht) is completely engulfed in flames and is now listing. A police boat is nudging it away from surrounding boats.   Thanks to Eunice who just notified us about this boat fire at 2401 N. Northlake Way:

Big fire down in lower Wally. Perhaps a houseboat? Fire boats and police descending on the scene. Flames visible from > 5 blocks away. Looks to be about under control now. – Eunice
