Sound Air solicitation

  • Post author:

Patrick sent us the following note and photo this evening:

“Just had my house tagged with the attached notice and watched a man proceed to tag every house on the street. Probably not illegal but certainly a scam.”

One quick look on the internets showed us there wasn’t a website for Sound Air Solutions, but they received exactly one Yelp review which starts out with:

“I really wish we could do zero star reviews.  If we could, I would definitely do exactly that.”

Could someone explain? I can’t read the photo of the posted notice. What does it say — and what does it mean? Thanks.

Basically that they “tried to deliver a package”, call them to arrange pickup. Company rules apply. No purchase necessary. Must be 21 or older. Must be a homeowner. For advertising purposes only. Subject to product review. Sponsored by Sound Air Solutions.

It means you’d have to be really dumb to call them.

These folks prey on the vulnerable, who are not necessarily “dumb”, but may be impaired or isolated or gullible. It’s a good reminder to children to talk to aging parents and for loved ones to talk to disabled adults within their circle of family and friends about safety and scams.

    Thanks for the explanation, Doctor.
