Couch Film Festival comes to Wallingford

Margaret Margaret November 7, 2012 Comments are off

Do you love movies so much that you’re willing to sit on a complete stranger’s couch to watch one? Well, then, you’re in luck! The 5th Annual Couch Film Festival is happening this Saturday, November 10, featuring short films that are screened in participating homes worldwide. This year, there are 4 homes hosting screenings in Seattle, including one right here in Wallingford, hosted by McKenna and Marshall. Here’s what they wrote:

Our house is one of 4 in Seattle that will be showing a unique program of original, awesome short films, each in a different genre (ours is comedy). Each program is 60 minutes; they start every 90 minutes to allow people to get from one house to another (all pretty close together).

The festival is free and you can watch as many programs as you’d like. It’s kind of like a pub crawl, but for watching movies. The films are GREAT, and we will provide delicious snacks and beverages to keep you happy and entertained.

We’ll be showing our 60-minute program of short comedy films four times over the course of the afternoon, starting at 1pm, 2:30pm, 4pm, and 5:30pm.

So, if you have an hour or so to spare on Saturday (November 10), please stop by for some great films, snacks, drinks, and more at the Tubaplex (our “movie theater”) located at 1553 N 38th St between Woodlawn Ave and Carr Place in Wallingford.

As the motto of Couch Film Fest notes, “Watching short films in strangers’ houses = awkwardly awesome!”

You can see the full lineup of films in the program at the festival’s website, http://www.couchfestfilms.com/seattle-2012.html

Cheers!

McKenna and Marshall
