   I’m not sure how to rate La Boulangerie. It used to be a favorite, and I was excited to try it again when I moved to the hood a few years ago. But everything I’ve bought has been stale, the place is rather dirty (those Yelp reviews will make you cringe), and there is often loud music from the kitchen and the owner/baker doesn’t notice a customer right away. I’m sure he’s a nice man. I’m sure it’s not easy to run a small business these days. And maybe I have horrible timing, but for a French bakery that bakes every morning, I really can’t understand why bread and croissants are stale. Sigh.
