Very much a sentimental favorite. You need to know what you’re getting into: small (some might say cramped) space, good solid lunch-style sushi, a pleasant and hard-working staff.
However, for many of us who have been going to Musashi’s for over 20 (!!!) years, it’s a favorite ritual: from standing outside for your name to be called from the waiting list, to reading the dozens of music and theater event posters on the walls, to the people-watching (outside of Two Bells downtown, I’m hard-pressed to think of a better place to see a wide mixture of people cheek-to-jowl.)
Hope it’s around for another 20 years. If I am too, I’ll be there!
