Things may be a bit slow around here over the next couple of days. By the time you read this, we'll be off in the Nevada desert frolicking and making mayhem. Our lower Wallingford correspondent should have a post for you tomorrow, and the Garage Sale and Open House map will post as usual on Friday (e-mail [email protected] if you want yours added), but other than that, things are going to be a bit quiet until Monday. @Cherrrylll just tweeted a warning for folks in the Wallingford / Green Lake / Woodland Park neighborhood: *COUGAR* sighting near Woodland Park. Keep small pets indoors!!!!!!! We assume she means the wildcat kind, not the other kind. Also, while the Woodland Park Zoo is near Woodland Park, we figure she doesn't mean one behind bars. That's all we know. QFC Remodel Update

Kristin Maas, QFC Public Affairs Director, dropped us a line this morning to update us on the remodel they're undertaking: I just wanted to send you a quick update regarding the remodel at our Wallingford QFC. On Thursday, September 3rd, the Wallingford sign will be removed. We will be doing some maintenance on the sign and keeping it safe during the major exterior construction.
