Trip the light fantastic

We'd hoped to tell you more about the builders of this bit of electroluminawesomeness, but nobody was home on our two recent visits. We know from neighbors that they're named Patty and Joe and that they've been at it for decades, but more, we can't say. Wallingford mojo is back!

This just in: the emblematic W A L L I N G F O R D sign that rests on top of the QFC at the top of Wallingford Ave is back! It ain't Iwo Jima, but it's a beautiful site. Truly Bizarre

I’ve probably passed by Bizarro Italian Café a hundred times, but last weekend was the first time I actually noticed the 23-year-old restaurant, located on Stone Way and 46th. John Stanford Int’l Recognized as One of Ten ‘Great Schools’

During the December 9 School Board Meeting,  John Stanford International School (JSIS) was one of ten Seattle Public Schools  to receive the "Great Schools" award.  The award, co-sponsored by Phi Delta Kappa of Washington state  and the Center of Educational Effectiveness, recognizes the top 5% highest improving schools over a 5 year period in the combined areas of reading and math.  Principal Kelly Aramaki was on hand to receive the award and a banner for the school.
