Puppets for Families

Saturday afternoon Drew Derby, King County librarian, storyteller and puppet master, performed a benefit show in the Community Room at FamilyWorks. A packed house of about 100 attentive audience members, of all ages, were treated to several stories and songs from a wide range of traditions. Raising close to $400 dollars for FamilyWorks (well over the $2 suggested donation price), this event was a resounding success and very entertaining, even for the adults. On Wednesday, Ffej asked us when the Senior Center plans to start accepting donations that will be matched by the Challenge Grant.
