2026 Fremont Solistice Parade Returns on June 20th

Summer officially arrives in Fremont with one of Seattle’s most colorful and creative traditions—the 2026 Fremont Solstice Parade. An epic celebration of summer, community, and art, the 35th Annual Fremont Solstice Parade kicks off on Saturday, June 20th, at 1 pm. The parade starts at 3rd Avenue NW and NW Leary Way, continues along N 36th Street, turns onto N 35th Street, and finishes up near the Fremont Rocket and Seattle Art Cars display inside the Fremont Fair (see map below).

The Fremont Solstice celebration is known for transforming the neighborhood into a vibrant showcase of art, music, performance, and community creativity. Whether participating or cheering from the sidelines, there are many ways to become part of the experience. If building an art float is too intimidating, you can get into your creative flow by designing a costume ensemble, or perhaps you would like to showcase your musical or dance talents. Everyone and all types of art forms are welcome.

Those who prefer working behind the scenes can volunteer to help create parade art installations and floats. The power house hosts regular workshops where all the magic happens. This is also a great place to bring kids and help them nurture their creativity. A limited number of paid positions are also available to support event operations throughout the weekend. Visit Fremont Arts Council’s website to learn more. If you would rather enjoy the show as a spectator, plan to arrive early to secure a prime viewing spot along the new parade route.

After the parade, continue the celebration just one block away at the Fremont Fair, Seattle’s annual summer kickoff event. Taking up over six city blocks in the iconic Fremont neighborhood during Solstice Weekend, the fair features two stages of live music, more than 300 craft vendors, beer gardens, art cars, unique performances, and an array of favorite fair foods. Fair hours are Saturday, June 20th, from 10 am to 8 pm, and Sunday, June 21st, from 10 am to 5 pm.

The annual Summer Solstice Parade and Fremont Fair are part of the spirit of the Fremont/Wallingford community. These events celebrate individual talents and creativity, develop the community, and promote business and educational opportunities in Fremont. Get ready to welcome summer, celebrate creativity, and enjoy one of Seattle’s most beloved neighborhood traditions.
