After officially renaming the festival last year to reflect its current geography, Tangletown PorchFest returns with an all-day line-up of music for neighbors to enjoy. This year, the kid- and pet-friendly fest will be held on Saturday, June 20th, the same day as the Fremont Solstice Parade and Fremont Fair—making for a very busy day of celebrations in our neck of the woods.

The line-up features 20(!) bands, which will be playing sequentially at 12 locations from 10:45 am until about 9:30 pm:

  • Liz Frazer—The Salty Voice Teacher
  • Chitatu and Friends Marimba—Zimbabwean-style marimba
  • Hamiltonians—teen jazz ensemble
  • Crowded Life—metalcore
  • The Laughing Group—indie rock
  • Awful Knofel—garage rock
  • John Atkins—Seattle solo performer
  • Where’s Beth—alt folk
  • Neon Stills—indie rock
  • Drama Club—high-energy covers
  • Roller Dome—nod to the 90s
  • housefinch—indie noir
  • Medicine Bows—“Loud. Quiet. Loud. Repeat.”
  • Du4Self—hip hop/soul
  • Dumb Thumbs—Porchfest veterans, playing rock & roll
  • Saw Horses—high-energy rock
  • Tomo Nakayama—melodic and lyrical dream pop
  • Burning Urn—“brings the heat”
  • Fallen Oaks—timeless but fresh folk, country, and roots
  • Nina Nastasia—“rare gift of a voice”

PorchFest is free to attend, but donations to support the event and the bands are appreciated, both onsite and online. In addition, the fest is sponsored by Tangletown and music-related businesses:

  • My Friend Derek’s Pizza
  • The Salty Voice Teacher
