Cinema Termite presents: Citizen Kane

When a reporter is assigned to decipher the dying words of newspaper magnate Charles Foster Kane (Orson Welles), his investigation gradually reveals the fascinating portrait of a complex man who rose from obscurity to staggering heights. Though Kane’s friend and colleague Jedediah Leland (Joseph Cotten) and his mistress, Susan Alexander (Dorothy Comingore), shed fragments of light on Kane’s life, the reporter fears he may never penetrate the mystery of the elusive man’s final word, “Rosebud.”

Released in 1941 by RKO as a Mercury Theater Production, Citizen Kane is the tale of an influential and shockingly wealthy newspaper tycoon inspired by the life of William Randolph Hearst.

The Museum of History and Industry is one of only eight venues across the country that will host the Freedom Plane National Tour: Documents That Forged a Nation this summer, in celebration of the nation’s 250th anniversary. Featured documents include the original engraving of the Declaration of Independence (1823), the Treaty of Paris, the Bill of Rights, and more. Join us to experience this once-in-a-generation opportunity to view these historical records before they return to the National Archives vaults, as well as the rest of MOHAI’s engaging exhibits! $4 for members, $6 for nonmembers, RSVP required.

Kris Hambrick is a twenty-year Seattle resident with professional experience in the arts, theater, and film communities. Session 3: Web & Everyday Apps—Filling out forms, internet browsers, MyChart, Uber/Lyft
Session 4: Photos and Cloud Storage—Photo syncing and storage, freeing up space, scam safety
