Meowtropolitan is Ten Years Old

Cat cafés have become a global sensation, filling social media feeds with images of charming felines soaking up attention from delighted visitors. What many may not realize, however, is that Wallingford is home to its very own cat café. Conveniently located near the intersection of N 45th Street and Stone Way N, Meowtropolitan offers a welcoming and thoughtfully designed space where humans and cats can connect. Founded in 2015, Meowtropolitan was established with a clear mission: to provide a calm, stress-free…

Happy Meow-ther’s Day!

Looking for something different to do with Mom that is guaranteed to lower everyone's stress level? Treat her to a day out at Seattle Meowtropolitan, Seattle's first cat cafe, where today's visit is 15% off and includes 50 minutes with kitties and a cafe beverage! I had a chance to pounce in mid-afternoon this week, after bemusedly walking by for months.  While booking my online appointment, I was advised that I may not get a lot of interaction as 2 PM is prime cat nap time. Regardless, entering the tranquil lounge was a…

If you are not yet acquainted with Henri, take a moment to watch the embedded video, which is my personal favorite. (And yes, I am considering how to disguise myself…

Jim brought Li'l Missy (now June) to meet me at our vet earlier this week.  June was given an exam, vaccines, treatment for parasites, and a combo test. …

A copy of the email appears below. 4/1, 4:27pm Update: Jim thought he had a lead on the cat's owner earlier today, but it turned out to be a case of mistaken identity. Found Kitty

Gary wrote to tell us that he found a cat a week ago and hasn't had any luck finding her owner: We live across the street from John Stanford International, and a week ago Sunday I was in bed when I heard a cat repeatedly meowing…I thought it was one of ours, so after hearing it for a while, went out and found a scared, hungry, thirsty little brown tabby right at the entrance to the JSIS basketball court/playground.  She clearly…
