Gary wrote to tell us that he found a cat a week ago and hasn't had any luck finding her owner: We live across the street from John Stanford International, and a week ago Sunday I was in bed when I heard a cat repeatedly meowing…I thought it was one of ours, so after hearing it for a while, went out and found a scared, hungry, thirsty little brown tabby right at the entrance to the JSIS basketball court/playground. She clearly…
Jamila wrote to tell us about a missing cat around NE 54th St. at Latona: We think it's likely that she's trapped or hurt in the blocks near our house. She has never strayed more than a few houses away from our yard. Here's a flier about the cat.
Update, 10/10 at 8:32pm: More good news! "Muffy" the cat has been reunited with her family. Here's what Jenny told us: Wow...life is funny sometimes...I had 10 posters I was going to post in the neighborhood. When I was posting, and only on my second one, I freakishly ran into the owners! I was starting the second one, when a very nice man and woman approached me and asked me if I was posting about a lost cat, and I said,…

If you haven't yet had the pleasure of meeting Paul "Brownie" Brown, owner of Wally Pets Food & Supplies, I strongly suggest you take the opportunity to do so next Wednesday. On August 1, from 4pm to 8pm, Brownie and his friends (including the four-legged, furry kind) will be celebrating his first year of owning the store, located at 4411-C Wallingford Avenue North. There will be wine, appetizers, a lemonade stand, a raffle, and treats for his "feline and canine fans." Even…
A reader posted in the Forums on Friday about a cat, but also asked us to post photos, in case someone recognizes him: I'm posting this for my neighbor, Mila. Her cat brought home a playmate, and she/he's pretty much moved in. It's a big kitty, maybe 16 pounds (?) shy but friendly. Mila's taking very good care of her/him, and has named it Destiny. Has dark tabby like markings. If this is your cat please call Mila at 206-525-3716. Meanwhile,…
This came to us today via "Seattle Meridian": At 10:30 am this morning, my kids and I saw four kittens at the Meridian playground (west middle entrance). If someone is missing them, they are there. Although, I'm guessing someone dumped the kittens as they were shivering and looked confused. So, if anyone wants kittens, there are two gray kittens and two whitish kittens. All were friendly and wanted lots of pets!
