Long Term Parking

It's the end of a long day at work, you've made it across the ship canal bridge, down the morass of 45th Street backups, maneuvered through the obstacle course of traffic circles and finally arrive on your own street. But as you creep past your house, you're frustrated to see there are no available parking spaces close to home. As you gaze longingly at the spot in front of your house, your spot, you note with a bit of bile that…

This, naturally, required a closing of said facilities. They reopened back in October as we wrote about here. Why, even the…

Back in late November, I wrote about some sightings of a coyote dubbed “Wally.” I asked for any more photos that folks may have taken of him (or her). A few have trickled in. See the gallery below. I also heard back from the zoo which, some readers have suggested, may have more information about this particular coyote. They didn’t seem to have any first-hand information about Wally, but there’s this: Hello Jack, We wanted to update you that within a…

RPZ Parking Enforcement Begins

If you live in one of the new Restrict Parking Zones in Wallingford, your grace period of parking without a permit is over. I spied a parking enforcement officer getting ready to write up my neighbor's truck on Friday, and when I went out to try to call her off ("wait, I'll grab them and have them move it"), she said not to worry, it was just a warning, but that they would begin ticketing "for real" on Monday. That makes…
