On January 28th Brooks hosted a Neighborhood Appreciation Day at their "Trailside Store" on the corner of 34th Street and Stone Way.  Brooks wanted to thank the Wallingford and Fremont neighborhoods for their support during the street work that closed Stone Way in front of their store for many months in 2024. The Wallingford United Methodist Church is having a pupusa lunch fundraiser this Sunday, February 9th, to raise money for an upcoming mission trip to El Salvador. WUMC has been working with Sister Parish for the last 25 years and is fundraising for another trip in March. They are asking for donations for the pupusa meal. Cash and credit cards are accepted.
