Satay Birthday Give-away

A big ol' Wallyhood-style congratulations go out to Patrick McCredie and Peter and Peter Ringold of SATAY Malaysian Street Food (1711 N. 45th Street). SATAY opened for business on December 10 of last year. They've had a pretty decent year, too, being on The Food Network and getting some decent local press from Seattle Met and The Stranger. Pretty impressive when you consider these two guys decided to open a restaurant fresh out of college. Patrick sent over an announcement that read,"This…

Kate’s Pub Deal

Hot on the heels of the Mighty-O Donut deal, Kate's Pub (309 NE 4th St) is jumping on the deal site bandwagon with a $13 for $30 worth of pub fare and pours offer. Doesn't apply to happy hour, blah blah blah, but she's a fine pub and even finer at that price. (Photo ripped off from Go Time Seattle, which ranks Kate's as the #1 Happy Hour in Seattle)

Bandolero Closes

Our chum to the north, My Green Lake, is reporting that Tangletown's Bandolero, which morphed from the Pour House, which in turn replaced the Luau Lounge, has shuttered its doors: “I was there Saturday night at 9:30 and it was open as usual with a decent group of customers,” Bandolero patron Sonja Hardenbrook told us. “Walked by Sunday at 3 p.m. and it was all closed up with a goodbye letter on the door. Bummer. I am very sad to see them go.” [...]…
