Rain Sushi on 45th has closed, but last we heard, there were two bidders still vying to take it over. Yesterday, we discovered who was the winner: Hi, my name is Mutsuko Soma. We got Rain spot. TnT Opens

It's been an empty storefront (sometimes euphemistically called a "test kitchen") since August 2008, but no more. Chow Foods is back in action and has throw open the doors on the old Loki / Jitterbug Cafe spot with a new Mexican restaurant: TnT Taqueria. Cantinetta Block Party

Cantinetta (3650 Wallingford Ave N) is hosting its 4th annual block party this Monday (June 18) from 6:00 - 10:00PM. Coming Soon: The Whale Wins

Seattle Met reports that The Whale Wins, a new restaurant by Chef Renee Erickson (Boat Street Cafe and Kitchen and The Walrus and the Carpenter), will open this summer in the Fremont Collective (3506 Stone Way N.).
