Stone34 breaks ground tomorrow

Just last month, we said "sayonara" to the Subway on 34th and Stone, to make way for Skanska's Stone34 deep green project, and the future home of Brooks Sports. Tomorrow (Tuesday, January 29), Stone34 will hold an official groundbreaking ceremony at the site, beginning at 10:00am. You can check out the event here, on Facebook.

Update on Seattle Schools’ Capacity Management

Last week, we told you about Seattle Schools' capacity issue that is affecting middle schools in the north end, including Hamilton International Middle School here in Wallingford. This past Wednesday, the School Board was going to vote on a short term capacity plan to alleviate the overcrowding at Hamilton and Eckstein. That vote, however, has been delayed until next week, when they'll have enrollment projections for next year.
