Wallingford Walks is hosting its annual urban farms tour this Saturday, June 9, from 10:00AM to 1:00PM. This year, leaders from Seattle’s only 4-H Club and a farmer from City Grown Seattle will guide folks around the neighborhood, stopping at homes that keep bees, raise chickens, ducks, rabbits and maybe even a goat. Wallingford-based Assistance League of Seattle has awarded $32,000 in enrichment scholarships this year to 70 students from Seattle Schools through its annual Enrichment Scholarship Program. The scholarships provide students from grades 6-11 full or partial tuition to attend summer camps at Cornish Institute, Whitman Dance, UW Robinson Center, Marrowstone Music, language camp and art, theater and outdoor programs.
