Occupy Wallingford

In the spirit of the Occupy movement, a new "Occupy Wallingford" group has sprung up in the neighborhood. This announcement comes from one of the organizers, Jessica Severance: Last night at 7pm a dozen or so of our friends and neighbors met at Keystone Church, at 50th and Keystone Place, to start our own Occupy Wallingford group.  We discussed lots of issues, including our support of local businesses and our desires to see some peaceful actions in the neighborhood to raise…

Muddy Cup Reopening

Good news, though, Sarah says it's set to re-open tomorrow: I just wanted to let our Wallyhood friends know that Mathew and I will be opening our doors again Monday, January 2nd and hope to share some warm drinks and pastries with our friends again.  I also wanted to thank everyone for their warm wishes and understanding. Thanks again, Sarah

Double Rainbow

Wallingford got its own double rainbow on Friday. Luna wrote: Oh how I wish I had a better camera to catch the DOUBLE rainbow over Wallingford this afternoon around 3pm! Not only were there two rainbows – the “main” one even had dark lavender as the bottom layer.  Here are the photos I managed to get.  In #28, you can vaguely see the second rainbow on the right edge and in #30 you can almost see the extra stripes of color.
