Wallingford Etsy?

We got a note recently from a Wallingford-based artist who sales her work on Etsy, an Internet-based marketplace for handmade (and vintage) crafts and goods. What with all the gift-buying going on this time of year, we thought it would be nice to try to help keep it local, even over the Internet. So, if you sell your work on Etsy (or otherwise sell your handmade products onlin) and you live in Wallingford, send us a link to your store and…

Food and Soap

Woodlawn Santa Decking the Halls

I love this time of year for many reasons, one of which is my annual phone chat with Woodlawn Santa (aka Sharon Ehrig), who usually leads the conversation with a rousing "Ho ho ho!" This year, she had something else to add: "Christmas is going up!" This is great news.  Even better, Santa has a clean bill of heath this year. You may recall that last year Santa battled breast cancer and was unable to put up her usual Christmas lights…
