Wallingford liquor store to offer spirit tastings

Beginning today, the Wallingford liquor store (118 NE 45th St.) will offer tastings of select spirits on Fridays, between 4-6pm. The tastings are a part of the Washington State Liquor Control Board (WSLCB) "Spirits Tastings Pilot" which runs for one year, from September 1, 2011 to September 1, 2012. The Wallingford liquor store is one of 30 stores participating in the statewide pilot. Sugar On Top: new salon now open

A new salon has moved into the old Alterations and Reweaving space on 45th at Woodlawn (1601 N. 45th St.). Sugar On Top is holding a pre-opening special: $10 off any service. Fall Neighborhood Matching Funds focus on Emergency Prep

The Neighborhood Matching Fund (NMF) program was created in 1988 to provide neighborhood groups with City resources for community-driven projects that enhance and strengthen their own neighborhoods.
