Food Swap!

Last call! There are only four spots left for this Saturday's Wallyhood Food Swap. There really is limited room, so if you plan to come, please RSVP now to reserve a spot. Here's what we told you about it when we first announced it a few weeks back: Do you cook, bake, can, jar, grow, distill, brew, shepherd or summon? Do you, perhaps, cook, bake, can, etc. too much? Community Street Clean-up

Spring is here, or that's what they tell us anyway. So it's time to clean up this little 'hood.  Time to beautify it for all those lovely evening walks we'll enjoy this summer.  Time to remove the trash in hopes that taggers will move on to other locales.  Time for the neighborhood to reconvene and catch up with one another. The shoe drive at John Stanford continues, and if you have a decent pair of shoes (no holes, clean laces, etc.)…

Girls in Space

We've all committed to staying indoors this weekend, right?  Well check this out. Lisa Bunts, Volunteer Coordinator for Skate Like  Girl, dropped us this tip today: I volunteer for a small, grassroots non-profit organization called Skate Like A Girl. We run a program called Girls in Space at Innerspace Skate Park about two times a month. The program focuses on teaching girls as well as their fathers, mothers, brothers, and friends. It's a very family oriented skate clinic and we'd like…
