House Fire

Eagle-eye Shannon sent over some pictures she just took of a house fire on Corliss, between 44th and 45th, behind Kabul.  Seems like everything is under control and there was tremendous response from the fire department.  We'll let you know when we have more information to share.  Hope everyone's ok.   Update, 3/10:  We just received an incident report from the Seattle Fire Department.  Thankfully, this wasn't a fire, but excessive smoke caused by a previous fire lit in the home's…

Patrick McCready, one of the two owners, told us the Food Network's Meat and Potatoes was filming that day for a spot next season. He said all told, they shot close to 9 hours of footage for what will end up being around a 7 minute segment. We'll keep you posted. In the meantime, try the red curry. It's amazing.

If you want to raise chicks, your season starts now: From this week through to the end of April the Bothell Feed Center is selling baby chicks. We currently have Rock Star and Plymouth Barred Rock birds, but Orpingtons and Australorps are our favorite breeds (gentle, good layers, not so destructive). Chicks are easy for the first month or so- you just need a box, a lamp, and some starter feed.…
