Neighborhood plan: The council endorsed a small and simple grant application for a Wallingford Neighborhood Plan Update. The goals will be to update our 15 year old neighborhood plan and to include new community inputs. Raptor in Wallingford

Stacy writes: I was on my porch last evening (south of 40th, on Meridian) when I heard a rustling in my neighbor's tree.  I looked up in time to see a small raptor wing its way across my yard, right at eye level, maybe 10 feet away.  I think it was some kind of hawk or falcon, but I don't know much about bird identification.  It was around a foot long, from beak to tail.   I got the impression it…

Keep Your Babies Cool

As the temperature soared to 90 on Thursday, my kiddos and I took advantage of the Wallingford wading pool’s limited hours and sought refuge in the cool water. Friday’s supposed to be another swelter, and thankfully the wading pool will be open again from 12-7 p.m. Keep cool, Wallyhoodites!
