Birds, Bees, Rabbits, and Maybe a Goat

  • Post author:

Wallingford Walks is hosting its annual urban farms tour this Saturday, June 9, from 10:00AM to 1:00PM.

This year, leaders from Seattle’s only 4-H Club and a farmer from City Grown Seattle will guide folks around the neighborhood, stopping at homes that keep bees, raise chickens, ducks, rabbits and maybe even a goat.  The tour will also include plenty of fruit and vegetable gardens, and farmers will be present to welcome walkers and describe the joys of their urban farm.

If you want to tag along, meet outside of Tully’s, 2100 North 45th Street, at 10:00 am on Saturday. The walk will cover approximately three miles at a leisurely pace over approximately 2-3 hours.
