What have we sunk to, Wallingford? We saw this post on My Green Lake the other day: Scarlet writes: Last night on Woodlawn between Kirkwood and Kenwood, my neighbor’s car had the wheels taken off of her car. I notified her (she is out of town) boyfriend and the police have been called and have responded. Wondering if anyone saw anything or other cars were targeted last night? We were amazed that such a thing could happen in the Wallingford /…

We think we're plugged into what's going on around the neighborhood, then a new blog, the SeattleCrime.com Blog, turns up with this detailed account of misdeeds two weekends ago at Serena's Guadalajara: When Seattle police showed up to a Wallingford bar last weekend to deal with a large fight—involving as many as 15 people, a police report says—they made a few arrests. But rather than arresting a dozen patrons, police ended up taking in the bar's manager and an armed bouncer.…

Thanks to Mimi for noting that the SPD Blotter Blog has the full story on the robbery earlier this week at Bartell's on 45th St: On October 27th at 12:18 p.m. an adult male suspect wearing a covering that concealed his mouth & nose, wrap-around sunglasses, a gray ski cap, and a dark green camouflaged jacket, entered a pharmacy in the 1800 block of North 45th Street.  He presented a note to the pharmacy staff and was seen with a hand…

As a follow-up to Sunday's story that Jupiter Music had been robbed, two commenters noted that Julia's had apparently been robbed the same night. In related news, My Green Lake has two crime stories this week: a mugging at 65th and Woodlawn (two suspects taken into custody shortly after) and car prowls at the Green Lake Preschool. The moral of the story: for your own protection, please don't own anything of value.

Jupiter Music Robbed

Jupiter Recording, the little recording studio tucked next to the Durn Good at the corner of 40th and Wallingford, was robbed last night. They've sent out a message via Twitter with a list of the items stolen. Keep your eyes peeled for these appearing in pawn shops, Craigslist, and some guy's trunk: Seattle area musicians and studio types watch out for someone trying to sell 2 Neumann M147s, 2 vintage AKG C414EBs, Royer R122, 2 Crown CM700s, Oktava ML52 Ribbon, Lots…
