This morning, My Green Lake reported that all neighborhood SHARE shelters would close on October 10, citing a widely-distributed email from SHARE. Seattle City Council sets standards for shelters

Last week, Seattle City Council approved a set of standards for encampments hosted by religious entities including faith-based community shelter support in church buildings, parking lots, or land leased to churches. Salon Metro: Toiletries Drive

Tis the season of giving and Salon Metro needs our help! Salon Metro (1714 N. 45th) is now collecting toiletries for the Orion Center and Youth Care Transitional Living Program.  Drop off  your donations at Salon Metro, Tuesday-Friday, 11am-7pm, Saturday-Sunday 9am-3pm. Donation requests include unused/unopened shampoo, conditioner, deodorant, brushes, make-up, toothpaste, facial and body soaps, and etc.--full size or travel size.  These items will help support the teens and young adults who are trying to obtain jobs and continue their education.  By simply dropping off toiletries…
